The SNL Outcast

This is just random musing. Do you ever feel like the new cast member on Saturday Night Live, or just one of the ensemble cast, that was hired to be on the show and yet the audience can't help but wonder WHY they hired her or him in the first place because they think he or she isn't all that funny to begin with?....I call that member the SNL Outcast. And there are several times I feel this way? Anyone else?
